After rumours spread across the internet last week about Woody Harrelson’s potential involvement in the next Star Wars spin-off, I’ll admit they got me a little excited and I had my fingers crossed the rumours would be true. Imagine my excitement when I read that Disney have today confirmed that Harrelson has signed on to have a role in the film!
The directors of the spin-off, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, have said “We couldn’t be more excited to work with an artist with as much depth and range as Woody”. Harrelson will be joining the only other confirmed members of the cast Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover, and Emilia Clarke. Harrelson is rumoured to be taking on the role of young Han Solo’s mentor.
Before his journey to a galaxy far far away, Harrelson will be making his directorial debut this month with the first ever live film, ‘Lost in London’, in which Harrelson will attempt to tell the story of one of his most memorable nights in the city whilst it’s screening live to cinema audiences across the globe.
The as-yet-untitled ‘Han Solo’ spin-off is scheduled for a 2018 release
