After yesterday’s trailer tease tweet, Warner Bros. have just released the brand new 2-minute long trailer for Guy Ritchie’s take on King Arthur.
The synopsis underneath the trailer reads:
“When the child Arthur’s father is murdered, Vortigern (Jude Law), Arthur’s uncle, seizes the crown. Robbed of his birthright and with no idea who he truly is, Arthur comes up the hard way in the back alleys of the city. But once he pulls the sword from the stone, his life is turned upside down and he is forced to acknowledge his true legacy…whether he likes it or not.”
This trailer gives us a greater insight into Arthur’s past and his rise to glory with Excalibur in-hand. This film boasts a strong cast with Charlie Hunman as King Arthur, Jude Law as Vortigern, Katie McGrath as Elsa, and Eric Bana as Uther Pendragon. I really hope that with this brilliant cast and Ritchie in the director’s chair that this film will be a lot more memorable than Antoine Fuqua’s attempt in 2011 to tell the tale of King Arthur.
‘King Arthur’ is set to release in UK cinemas on the 12th of May.
