It’s been a long time since we heard any news of the third and final part of Dreamwork’s ‘How To Train Your Dragon’ franchise; the last thing we heard was a few details regarding the plot. However, the full plot line, title and a release date have now been revealed!
‘How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World’ will continue to follow Hiccup, who’s now Chief of his homeland, and his dragon companion, Toothless, in the final part of a coming-of-age story, which is rumoured to end where the books start.
The full plot is below:
“As Hiccup fulfills his dream of creating a peaceful dragon utopia, Toothless’ discovery of an untamed, elusive mate draws the Night Fury away. When danger mounts at home and Hiccup’s reign as village chief is tested, both dragon and rider must make impossible decisions to save their kind.”
Even better, we don’t even have to wait a full year for the film to be released: ‘How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World’ will be in cinemas in the UK on the 1st February 2019 and US cinemas on the 1st March 2019!
The first film is one of my favourite animated films, so this is very exciting news!
The ‘How To Train Your Dragon’ franchise has so far grossed over $111 million worldwide and has two spin off series: ‘How To Train Your Dragon: Legends’ and the Netflix show ‘Race To The Edge’, which now has six seasons.
